Highlights of Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City and Arrival

You will arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. You will be warmly greeted by your tour guide and car driver who will transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, we take an orientation tour of the city (if time permits). In the evening, we enjoy your dinner and spend your night at your chosen hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City Tour
In the morning

After breakfast at your hotel, we begin our sightseeing tour by visiting the Reunification Palace, which was the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War, and some French colonial structures including Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office.

Then we continue to pay visits to Thien Hau, Quan Am Pagodas, the Emperor Jade Pagoda and the War Remnants Museum

In the afternoon

Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant and take a short time break.

Finally, we end the city tour with a visit to Ben Thanh Market, one of the earliest surviving structures in Saigon and one of symbols of Ho Chi Minh City, which is popular with tourists seeking local handicrafts, textiles, Ao Dai and souvenirs, as well as local cuisine.

In the evening

Spend a night at your chosen hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - Tay Ninh - Cu Chi Tunnels
In the morning

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Then we leave the hectic pace of Ho Chi Minh City behind on an approximate 2.5-hour journey to the Cao Dai Temple in the Tay Ninh District. Tay Ninh, the centre of Caodaism, is a symbol of the curious combination of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.

Upon arrival in Cao Dai, we will attend the noon ceremony and gain insight into Cao Daoism, which blends elements from Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Taoism and Confucianism. Admire the ornate and colorful tiles and pillars, religious murals and gardens of Cao Dao, meaning "high place or abode" built in the 1920s.

In the afternoon

After lunch at a local restaurant, we return to Ho Chi Minh City. On the way back, we stop to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an immense network of connecting underground tunnels located in the Cu Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City. They were used by Viet Cong soldiers as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighters.

After the visit, we return to Ho Chi Minh City.

In the evening

Spend your night at your chosen hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City - Cai Be Floating Market
In the morning

Have breakfast at the hotel and then move to Cai Be.

On the way to Cai Be, we will stop to take photos in Tan An Town, overlooking picturesque flat rice fields. When arriving at Cai Be, set off by motor boats to visit the Cai Be Floating Market and watch the local trading of fruits and lots of other commodities on their vessels.

Then we will take a walk into small villages to visit an orchard and fruit plantation. After that, we continue your boat trip to Vinh Long through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta and visit a small family business to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made. Next, we will experience the charms of Binh Hoa Phuoc Village, the green pearl of Vinh Long Town, where you can immerse yourself in nature.

In the afternoon

We enjoy Lunch with fresh river food and the traditional Southern Vietnamese Folk Music will be served in the heart of a garden. After lunch, we take a delightful walk through a bonsai garden. After the visit to the village, we go back to Ho Chi Minh City.

In the evening

Enjoy a dinner of your own and spend your night at your chosen hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang City - Hoi An Ancient Town
In the morning

You will have breakfast at your hotel. After your breakfast, you will be taken to Tan Son Nhat Airport from which you will board a flight VN to Da Nang. You will be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Hoi An as well. Hoi An, the unique atmosphere combines elements of Vietnam, China and Japan. The most remarkable views are from the ancient houses, reminding visitors of a long gone past and providing a momentary glimpse of a more subdued and simple time.

In the afternoon

We start our trip with a visit to the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, the Tan Ky Old House, the Cantonese Congregation, Silk street of Hoi An, Danang Style Temples and Pagodas.

In the evening

Dinner is on your account and you spend a night at your chosen hotel in Hoi An. Day 6: Hoi An Ancient Town - Hue City
In the morning

After your breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Hoi An via Da Nang. On the way, we will visit the Museum of Cham and the Marble Mountains, which are a cluster of five marble and limestone hills. Then we will stop at Hai Van Pass and Lang Co Beach to take photos.

In the afternoon

We will have lunch at a local restaurant and then visit Dong Ba Market and the Imperial Citadel, from which the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945, and the ruins of the Purple Forbidden City.

In the evening

We enjoy a night boat trip and a performance of Hue folks songs. Dinner is on your account and you will stay the night at your chosen hotel in Hue City. Day 7: Hue City Tour - Hanoi City
In the morning

After breakfast, our guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hue city and then take a boat along Perfume River to visit Tu Duc Tomb, one of the most beautiful works of royal architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty. On the way, we will pay the visits to mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang in the area with gardens and lakes and Thien Mu Pagoda, a picturesque landscape besides Perfume River and a perfect place to enjoy peaceful and serene atmosphere that also gives you chance to watch praying time of the monks here.

In the afternoon

After lunch at a local restaurant, you will be transferred to the airport for boarding a flight to Hanoi. When arriving at Noi Bai Airport, you will be picked up and taken to your hotel in the Old Quarter.

In the evening

You enjoy a welcome dinner which has some specialties of Hanoi and spend your night at your chosen hotel in Hanoi City . Day 8: Hanoi City Tour
In the morning

After your breakfast at the hotel, we would like to show you the major cultural sites around Hanoi city. The first visit to Ba Dinh Square is for visiting Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh's stilt house and One Pillar pagoda. Then we go to Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (the Temple of Literature & the first university in Vietnam). It is almost 1000 years old. Next visits are Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple.

In the afternoon

We enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then take a cyclo trip around the Old Quarter from Hang Dau to Hang Gai Streets.

In the evening

We enjoy the dinner of your own and stay a night at your hotel of choice in Hanoi City. Day 9: Hanoi City - Ha Long Bay
In the morning

After breakfast at your hotel, we will leave for Ha Long through the Red River Delta. Ha Long Bay is listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Ha Long bay has more than 1.000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. After your arrival at Ha Long Bay, you will board a junk in Ha Long City.

In the afternoon

Lunch with seafood will be served on board while you are enjoying a four-hour cruise on the bay to visit Thien Cung Cave - the cave of the heavenly – famous for its stalagmites and stalactites - which has been open to public since 1998. Then we continue to visit the newly-discovered Dau Go Grotto where wooden stakes were set deep inside the cave prior to a battle with an invading Mongol army.

After the visits, we take a boat trip back to Ha Long City and then take a road trip back to Hanoi.

In the evening

You have dinner on guest's account and spend your night at your chosen hotel in Hanoi City. Day 10: Hanoi City and Departure
There are no activities planned for your final day, After breakfast at your hotel, you free leisure time to explore the city until you transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for departure. Finish your unforgettable tour. Good bye and see you again!
